Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training for Dogs

Found this book to be well-written, easy to understand, and even though I was skeptical before reading, it really does make sense. The training is based on operant conditioning (positive reinforcement) which has been scientifically proven to work. My dogs really do get it which makes behavioral training much easier than with traditional (negative) effects. I like Karen Pryor’s approach so much I purchased another of her books, “Don’t Shoot the Dog! The New Art of Teaching and Training” which goes in-depth as to how and why this style of training works. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND both titles.
