SUNFURA Cat Recovery Suit, Cat Onesie for Cats After Surgery, Breathable Cat Surgical Spay Suit for Abdominal Wounds Skin Diseases, E-Collar Alternative Cat Surgery Shirt Anti Licking, Grey M
My little baby Penny has always been an over groomer; the only damage she caused in the past was just that she licked her fur off in spots where she is more sensitive (she has crazy cat syndrome lol), and then it would pass and her fur would grow back. But within the past month or so, she has started biting and chewing on herself, causing terrible open sores. And of course, when the scabs form and shed, they are itchy.I did a lot of research and found that this suit is the best solution for Penny’s skin issues. It is very soft, light and breathable. The Velcro is strong and doesn’t stick to everything like most Velcro. It’s pretty easy to put on and take off. I cut the adjustable neck string off because it fits her good around the neck and I have a huge fear of her strangling herself when she is home alone. It still stays on even when being looser around the neck. Thankfully she isn’t much of an escape artist though lol.I bought a Large for Penny. It fits her body and belly well- but she isn’t as long as most cats, so when she steps up into the litter box, sometimes her leg gets stuck inside the onesie, dragging it in the box and making a mess. We only put her in the suit when we leave the house because she doesn’t use the bathroom when we are gone. Make sure to take the top off of the litter box and use a shoe box or something as a step. Otherwise, you will have an unhappy kitty who is covered in peepee and does her business right outside of the litter box. Not to mention the mess. I think after adjusting her bathroom situation that she has gotten used to using the bathroom with the suit on. When we are home we put a waterproof cat recovery disc shaped collar on her most of the time. But sometimes she bends it just right and is able to reach her sores, so then we put her in the onesie.I bought two so that she has one to wear while the other is being washed. Wash it on cold and let air dry.I also started bathing her with “Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Antifungal Medicated shampoo for dogs and cats”—- I bought it on Amazon. I have only used it once on her and her skin is no longer an angry red, it is just a tender pink. The bath helped wash away all of the scabs that were shedding and making her itch. It soothes her spots and she doesn’t lose her mind trying to lick and bite her spots like she did before.Save yourself trips to the vet -10/10 would buy again ? [...]
