Skin Drink with Wild Rosehip
Backstory Will it erase wrinkles? No. But will it reduce the 7 signs of aging? Also no. Nor should it.. because smile lines and expressive faces are not something to be ashamed of The reason I created this product is because there were many times when I’d be working outside and my conventional moisturisers just didn’t cut it. So after about 60,000 iterations I settled on a combination that did the job significantly better than any of the passively shaming, ‘mature skin’ options I could find in stores. And voila.. chef’s kiss.. This stuff is the bomb. Ingredients & Source Wild rosehip (Rosa rubiginosa & Rosa rugosa) infused grapeseed oil, extra virgin coconut oil, grass-fed beef tallow, beeswax, vitamin E & mandarin essential oil. Thanks to the hippies who planted a shit tonne of roses on my farm 30 years ago (that were subsequently left to go wild), I’ve got some serious thickets to choose from. However, the heavy lifters in this rosehip oil are Rugosa and Sweetbriar. Rugosa Rose produces big bohemoth rosehips with a fragrance that is so god damn delicious, they get the salivary glands going. As you can see here from these little turds It’s no surprise that the horses head straight for the Rugosas when they’re given house paddock privileges. Sweetbriar Rose was made famous by fairy tales. It’s a resilient, scraggly plant with a powerhouse of vitamin C and the hips are hot property for any creature that can brave the thorns. Tallow is tremendous but between you and me it can smell pretty gross in big doses. Mine is sourced locally and is 100% grass fed… There’s no way I was going to compromise the quality with the mass medication of antibiotics and all the other funk of feedlots ♀️ Also, it bears mentioning that this Skin Drink does not infact, smell gross. It smells freakin delicious thanks to my little rosehip friends. The Beeswax was originally sourced from my neighbour down the road.. but now that I’m a very serious beekeeper myself (pls take note, Australian Tax Office) ongoing supply will come straight from my very own ‘livestock’. YIPPPEEEEEEEEE! Directions for Use I really hope we’re all adult enough to know how to put stuff on our own skin but this is not my first rodeo… so let’s begin. Most moisturisers are made from 60-85% water but Skin Drink has nil. Nada. Zero. Which means you’re just getting the good stuff and not paying for water packed in plastic. It also means you only need the tiniest amount. Somewhere between a pea and a very small grape should get you a full face of coverage – so 100g tin should last a really long time. If you plan on going out in public give it ten minutes to sink in, or finish with a dusting of compost if that’s your thing ♀️ It turns out compost works equally well as a finishing powder AND a lip liner.
